The Carmel Valley Unit was formed in 1994 by a group of women living in the North County area. For
over a decade we have given our time and resources to support Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego
and the health and well-being of the children it serves.
With an average of 30 members annually, we have been active in supporting both Auxiliary-wide events
such as Kids’ News Day and Fantasy on Ice, as well as supporting other Units’events. We also
participate in numerous volunteer activities at the hospital. We are committed to raising community
awareness for Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego as well as fund raising activities on both a large
and small scale. Our time and energies have been more than amply rewarded by the knowledge that
our efforts helping, in some small way, contribute to the success of Rady Children’s Hospital and the
lives of the children in our community. Along the way, we have also had a great deal of fun, learned new
skills and make wonderful, lasting friendships.
